Reflective practice 2015

Vicky used Fake to describe how she felt compared to her peers. She chose an image of a mixologist (cocktail maker) but wasn’t sure why. Through questioning she realised this visual metaphor represented her.  Just as a mixologist combines various ingredients in different amounts to make great cocktails. She too brought together the best mix of her skills, knowledge and experience, as a trainer and psychologist, to meet her client’s needs.

I have more clarity about what I bring to my profession and am able to articulate that better, and believe it! Feeling more comfortable in acknowledging my ‘stripes’ and therefore more confident to share with others.

August 2016:

I’ve certainly been feeling more like I earned my stripes since our session, it was great to reach that realisation. I’m sure that fed into my confidence to agree to be part of a new project via a company based in San Francisco. I provide remote performance coaching for emerging leaders. I’m loving the work I do with them.
